How often do you feel motivated to clean?
I’ve shared that I don’t particularly like cleaning.
But I know how beneficial it is to have a clean space.
And I found a habit that makes cleaning feel way easier, so I can have the best of both worlds!
I call this the Mini Declutter or Micro Tidy.
How to Use the Mini Declutter/Micro Tidy to Keep Your Space Clean
This habit is extremely straightforward. Every day, spend just a few minutes putting away the random clutter that accumulates.
At the end of the day, I’ll take a few minutes to put things away where they belong.
For example:
◇Putting discarded clothes in my closet/my dresser
◇Moving clean dishes from the drying rack to the cabinet
◇Throwing away pieces of trash
Something as small as 5-10 minutes per day can help you keep your space organized without feeling overwhelmed.
Spending a few minutes cleaning every day adds up. Your place will be clean and organized before you know it!
And the best part is, it won’t feel like you did anything!
I know I feel more inclined to procrastinate big, daunting tasks, like cleaning the whole house.
But it is much easier to get motivated to start smaller tasks, like putting away 5 clean dishes.
The low commitment and effort make it easier to get started!
This tip has been a game-changing tidiness habit! I actually look forward to practicing this habit, because I get excited about how simple, yet impactful it is!
I hope this low-effort cleaning habit helps you as well! Leave a comment to let me know if you try this simple cleaning strategy.
