Welcome back to ‘Creator Chat: Finding Joy in Your Social Media Content’!
If you ever find yourself staring at your screen, wondering what to post, you are not alone!
Many creators, including myself, sometimes struggle to come up with content ideas.
To overcome this, I identified some strategies that help me spark my creativity and find joy in creating content.
This is Part Two of a series I started to share these tips with other creators. I hope these mindset tips help you discover the type of content that you enjoy creating.
Make sure to go back and read Part 1 for more guidance on creating content that brings you joy.
Tips for identifying content you feel inspired to create:
đź’•Pay attention to what you feel drawn to.
Take inspiration from the content you enjoy watching. If you feel drawn to a certain type of content, you might enjoy sharing that type of content yourself! That is how I feel about the cozy lifestyle videos I love sharing on Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok.
đź’•Trial and error.
Experimenting is one of the best ways to figure out what you want to post. Try different styles of content to find what you enjoy. In Part 1, I discussed how I started experimenting with talking head videos. Talking to the camera used to feel uncomfortable, but I grew to enjoy these videos!
💕Having a niche doesn’t mean posting the same content over and over.
“Pick a niche” is common advice for content creators. Picking a niche refers to centering your content around a specific topic. And while it can be helpful to have a central theme, you don’t have to be repetitive. You can find different ways to cover similar topics. Just something to think about, so you don’t get bored and don’t feel restricted.
I hope these tips help you in your content creation journey! What type of content do you enjoy creating? Leave a comment to share (you never know who you might inspire)!
