Introvert Diaries – Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone – Social Battery Edition

A mindset chat for introverts wanting to extend their social batteries!

Introverts know that making plans can feel challenging. If you are anything like me, you feel torn, because you want to spend time with the people you care about, but you also get tired easily.

As an introvert, I prefer not to commit to too many activities in a row. I know my social battery gets drained, so I like to give myself some alone time to recharge.

But, life doesn’t always follow that plan.

Sometimes exciting opportunities pop up all at once.

Recently, I started challenging myself to make plans that feel out of my comfort zone. This includes attending back-to-back events.

Important Disclaimer: I’m not saying that I no longer need time alone to recharge, but I’m learning that I can push my social battery when I choose to.

Takeaway: I feel so grateful for the little life I’m creating for myself. Even when I felt tired, I was happy that I participated in these events. I am forever thankful for my amazing group of friends.

I hope this reflection motivates you to adopt a similar mindset.
