Ultimate Vacation Prep Guide🗺️☀️🌴

As I write this, I’m at the end of a family summer vacation. I created this plan in preparation for this trip. You can use these tips to prepare for your next vacation thoroughly.

Vacation Prep Tips

☀️Make a list of everything you want to bring with you

I love a good list. Making a packing list can help you avoid forgetting things.

☀️Go to the store to get anything you are missing

Once you make your list, you can buy anything you don’t have that you want to bring with you.

☀️Pack

My hack is to pack slowly, over a few days. I leave my suitcase out and throw in a few things at a time.

☀️Do your nails/Get your nails done

Fresh nails and vacation go hand-in-hand. I brought nail polish and painted my nails during my trip, which is also a good option.

☀️Wash your hair

I like to wash my hair right before, so it is clean for my trip.

☀️Get a book

A good book is a vacation essential. Take your time off to catch up on your TBR. I finally finished Beach Read by Emily Henry on this trip, which I was excited about!

☀️Download an audiobook for traveling

I highly recommend downloading audiobooks from Libby (a free app you get access to with a library card) to make travel time go by faster.

☀️Remember to bring snacks

Stocking up on your favorite snacks is a simple way to make yourself more comfortable on your trip. I like to pack my favorite snacks of the moment before going out of town.

☀️Get your car washed

We used my car on this family vacation. My dad made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that I was to “get all of the crap out of my car” before meeting up with them, In addition to cleaning out the random junk, I also got my car washed.

☀️Be strategic with groceries

I want to do my best to avoid food waste. Think about how you can finish the food you have before leaving town.

☀️Get in the right mindset – Set intentions

I’m all about mindset work. Getting yourself in a good mindset makes such a positive difference in your experiences. Set some intentions before your trip.

For example, I knew I wanted to be present and savor this time with my family.💗

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.
