Romanticizing life by embracing the small moments makes your days more fun and exciting.
One way to achieve this is to romanticize the seasons.
Living mindfully and being present with the seasons is one of my favorite ways to make life more enjoyable. Each season has so many wonderful attributes to celebrate.
Here are some easy ways to romanticize your life this summer, broken down into categories.

Summer Mindset
Your ability to get into the right mindset can make or break any experience.
Luckily, you can adapt your mindset at any time. Discovering this gave me the power to create the life I want.
Use these mindset tips to live your best life this summer!
Practice Mindfulness
I know I say this in almost every blog post. But it’s for good reason. Mindfulness can transform mundane activities into calming, peaceful moments of self-care.
For example, we all have to eat, but slowing down and savoring a mindful meal turns a necessity into a pleasant and restorative experience.
Practice living in the present moment to create some beautiful summer memories.
Appreciate Longer Days
Summertime means longer days and shorter nights, which feels amazing.
It’s so nice to end work when the sun is still out.
If you typically like to stay in after work or school, take advantage of the late sunset by making some evening plans this season.

Do Things for Your Inner Child
Summertime brings up childhood memories of summer camps, family vacations, and plans with friends. Growing up, summer felt so free and fun.Â
Even though most of us no longer get a true summer break once we enter the workforce, we can still tap into that child-like sense of excitement.
Connect with your inner child this summer by participating in your childhood favorite summer activities and enjoying your childhood favorite summer treats.
Summer Vibes
Romanticizing any season is all about setting the vibes.
Easy ways to get into the summer mood:
Listen to Summer Playlists
Music is so powerful. Whether you create your own or find a pre-made one, a good playlist will get you into the summer spirit.
I love curated Spotify playlists, like this one, to help me get into the summer mentality!
Consume Summer-Themed Media
Similarly to music, consuming summer-themed media is a good way to tap into the season.
Books, shows, and movies that feel like summer:

Summer Activities
With nicer weather and longer days, summer is a season for us to feel energized and refreshed. Use that summer energy to partake in exciting activities.
Summer activity inspiration:
Attend Summer Concerts
Listening to live music is fun on your own or with friends.
My town puts on free weekly concerts throughout the summer. See what local concerts or other summer events are coming up in your area.
Plan a Vacation or Staycation
Summer is the perfect time for a vacation. If you can’t get away, then plan a staycation.
You need time to rest and recharge to keep showing up as your best self.
Plus, a vacation or staycation helps you shake up your routine and keep life interesting, so you don’t get stuck in a rut.
Spend Time Outside
Enjoy the nice weather and long days by spending as much time outside as possible.
Think about how you can take your daily habits outdoors. For example, you can start eating your meals and reading outside. I also love taking an afternoon walk to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
Find any opportunity to spend a few minutes outside.
Summer Self-Care and Hobbies
You can even make your self-care and hobbies feel seasonal!
Summer self-care and hobby inspiration:
Summer Reading
The past two summers, I’ve enjoyed participating in my local library’s Summer Reading Challenge. This is such a nostalgic activity, since I used to do Summer Reading Challenges when I was little.

Eat Fresh Produce
Eating lots of fruits and vegetables feels so refreshing for summer.
This summer, visit local farmers’ markets to pick up seasonal produce.
I have been loving my weekend trips to the strawberry stand.
If you don’t have any local markets, you can still get produce from the grocery store.
Make Summer-Inspired Meals
Baking and cooking are great ways to embrace seasonal flavors. Use your seasonal produce to experiment with different summer recipes.
Summer Crafts
Tap into your creativity by making summer crafts.
Crafting is a great way to relax and express yourself. This is something I want to do a lot of this season.
